When you work with animals, every situation is
unique. We will do our best to accommodate your specific
needs. The following is just some general
guidelines.
What are your staging
requirements? For our complete 30 minute show, we require an area at
least 12 x 16 (16 x 20 is preferable) and some sort of
backdrop is desired, although not absolutely necessary. If we're
on a stage more than 24 inches high, or there are steps
between our unloading area and performance area, you'll
need to supply a ramp or a couple of strong bodies to assist us in
getting the parrot's performing table and prop cases in
place. For venues that
desire a smaller version of our show, a minimum of 8 x12 will
do.
Remember, we do need at least 5-6 feet
between the performance area and the audience, so that the entire
audience can see clearly and the birds don't get
distracted.
We supply our own sound and
lighting suitable for crowds of up to 500 people indoors, or 300
outdoors, if required.
In some cases, we
may require a secure area to serve as a holding area for the parrots
between shows.
Can the birds work outside or at
night? Yes, in most cases. Depending on weather conditions,
some type of awning or overhead cover may be needed to insure our
birds' safety. In general, they do not work in temperatures below
60* or over 100* . Rain and windy conditions are also a
factor.
I have a
friend whose scared of birds. Do they fly at the
audience? Since we work in a variety
of places, we do NOT free fly our pets at our shows. There
are just too many things that could happen to our birds in
these situations.
Are you insured? We carry one million dollars of
liability insurance for your peace of mind. We are also licensed by
the State of Florida to perform and exhibit our
birds.
What do
you charge? Depends on what you
want. Obviously, one of our smaller shows at the library around
the corner will be considerably less than doing a state
fair 1000 miles away, performing 3 shows per day for 10 days.
